Terpinyl Acetate
Ester of terpineol
Description
Terpinyl Acetate is produced by acetylation of terpineol. The reaction softens the lilac character into something closer to bergamot and lavender, making it a widely used modifier in fragrance compounding.
It performs particularly well in soap and cosmetic bases, where it holds its character better than many citrus materials of comparable cost.
