Pine Chemicals & Turpentine Derivatives
Alpha Pinene Dextro
Dextrorotatory isomer
Description
Alpha Pinene Dextro is the dextrorotatory isomer, and the more commonly required of the two in industrial terpene chemistry. It is the usual starting point for dextro camphor and for a range of aroma materials where the finished odour depends on the stereochemistry of the feed.
As with the laevo form, we supply against a stated optical rotation rather than simply an assay, since that is the parameter the buyer's process actually depends on.
Applications
- Production of dextro camphor and isoborneol
- Aroma chemical synthesis requiring a defined isomer
- Terpene resin and tackifier production
- Fine chemical intermediates
Features
